What Is Direct Cremation?

What it is, and what it isn’t

Direct cremation, sometimes called simple cremation, is cremation with no viewing and no funeral ceremony. We take your loved one into our care and carry out the cremation. That is all it is.

Your loved one comes into our care, is prepared, and is cremated. We return the cremated remains to you in a temporary container, or in an urn you pick.

Plenty of families who choose direct cremation still hold a celebration of life, a memorial service or a private gathering later, in their own time.
