Every one of them includes our professional services, bringing your loved one into our care, and the cremation itself. The only thing that changes between them is how much ceremony you want. Direct cremation starts at $3,055; a full viewing and funeral before the cremation is $6,725.

There is no single right answer. We have four main cremation plans, and each one includes our professional services, bringing them into our care, and the cremation itself. Each plan includes the professional services of our funeral directors, the transfer of your loved one to our care, and the cremation itself. You can add a viewing, a formal ceremony, or simply choose a quiet, direct cremation.

The four main paths are a Viewing & Funeral Plan, a Memorial Service Plan, a Basic Cremation with Identification Viewing, and Direct Cremation, the most affordable option, starting at $3,055.

Traditional Cremation Price Plans

Each plan bundles services at a courtesy discount.

To be eligible, the cremation container must be purchased from Bonney Watson. Sales tax is added to merchandise; Friday/Saturday/Sunday, holiday, and evening ceremonies may carry additional fees.

What witnessing involves. Families who choose to be present see the container placed into the chamber. Once the chamber is closed, you’re welcome to press the button to begin the cremation yourself. Tell us ahead of time if you want to witness, so we can schedule it.

Section 3Death certificates

Information About Death Certificates

How many to order, how to get them, and what they cost.

A death certificate is an official legal document you’ll need to settle accounts, transfer property, claim benefits, and handle other affairs after a loss.

How the process works. A physician signs and states the cause of death. Our team gathers the required information and files the completed certificate with the county, typically 7–10 business days.

How many do you need. We recommend one certified copy for each of: life insurance, bank accounts, real estate or mortgage, retirement or pension, military benefits, vehicle titles, and utilities or credit cards.

Cost in Washington. Each certified copy is $25.00. Pierce County adds a $4.00 shipping fee plus a $10.00 review fee. If a correction is needed, the WA Department of Health allows one free exchange, but corrected certificates can take up to 8 weeks.

Cremation Containers

The enclosure used before and during cremation, available in several styles and prices.

By federal law, every funeral home offering cremation must make an alternative container available. No law requires a traditional casket. The container is used before and during cremation; an urn is what you select afterward. Containers range from $480 to $1,570, and the material has no effect on the quality of the cremation.

Caskets Suitable for Cremation

For families who want a service or viewing before cremation.

A full casket gives your loved one a traditional presentation during the service, and afterward accompanies them into the cremation chamber. Many models offer personalization panels. Prices range from approximately $1,540 to $5,020.

Rental Caskets

A full casket for the service, without the full purchase price.

From the outside a rental casket looks identical to a purchased one; inside, a removable insert holds your loved one and later serves as the cremation container, so no separate container is needed. Rental prices range from $1,930 to $3,150.
