A paved terrace runs between the mausoleum wings, and there are two quite different things for sale on it. A freestanding black granite niche bank of 40 niches stands across the far end, priced by row. Along the walk stand 9 individual memorials, each holding cremated remains in its own right. All of it is new; nothing here has been sold.
The Path
The Terrace Garden Memorial Path is the newest cremation property at Washington Memorial Park. There are two quite different things for sale here. The niche bank is a wall of 40 granite-front niches, priced by row. Along the path stand 9 individual memorials (cremation posts, pedestal benches, a companion columbarium and a birdbath), each of which holds cremated remains in its own right.
All of it is new. Nothing on the path has been sold and re-offered; this is a garden that opened with everything in it available.
The Niche Bank

The bank is eight niches across and five rows high, and it is priced by row: the middle row is the highest and the top and bottom rows the lowest. Niches are addressed TGN-C-4 and so on.

Along the Path
Cremation posts
The smallest memorials on the path, set into the bark beds either side of the walk. Single posts hold one; a double post holds two, and some carry a carved rose, daffodils or birds.
Benches, columbarium and birdbath
The larger pieces: two pedestal benches, a companion columbarium with an alcove, and a birdbath on a pedestal. Each holds cremated remains inside it.
The 9 memorials along the path carry 1–4 rights of interment, depending on the piece, and run $8,000–$52,000 across the whole set. Ask us for the item-by-item list if you want to compare them side by side.
What It Costs
Opening and closing, recording, endowment care and any inscription are charged in addition to the price of the space. They are straightforward, and they differ by location and by what you choose. Call or email me and I will put the exact figures in writing for you, with no obligation.

What You Will See Today
The beds are dark bark mulch. The marketing artwork for the Terrace Garden draws them as bright green turf; the built garden has bark around the posts, which is what every photograph in this guide shows and what you will find when you walk it. We would rather you saw it here than were surprised by it there.
